Spectrum is the latest iteration of the Spectrum ensembles lead by Skeeter Cr.R. Shelton - with Joel Peterson on double-bass and James Baljo on drums.
Skeeter is the son of AACM percussionist Ajaramu Shelton. He grew up around Amina Claudine Meyers. Muhal Abrams, The Art Ensemble etc. He has played with Blood Ulmer, Hamid Drake, Fred Anderson, Faruq Z. Bey, Hakim Jami, Han Bennink and Thollem.
